I met Ali on a scripture union camp to Zanzibar in 2003. While there one day we visited Mnazi Mmoja hospital. He was getting ready to head off to study medicine and I nursing. Our SU leaders felt visiting the hospital would be great for those of us who were heading into that field. And what an experience it was. I remember lots of laughs had with Ali on our 2 week stay in Zanzibar. Fast forward to 2017 and while attending A&E in Kirkcaldy with my 7 week old son who was the Doctor to see us but Ali! They say it's a small world and it really is. Ali looked after my son so well and always asked about him whenever I happened to see him after that in my nursing roll around the Vic. I was so very sorry to hear that Ali had died, I have such found memories of him. Thoughts are with all who knew and loved him, especially Sara and the boys "Pumzika kwa amani"
