Al is lovingly known to the team here at GSi as "Dr Al" and he will be sorely missed by us all.  At running events, we facilitate people achieving their dreams and goals. Unfortunately, when people take on such physical challenges, sometimes things don't go to plan, and we are incredibly grateful, due to the skills and commitment that Al possessed, that there are people alive today, who returned to their families at the end of the day, because of him.

Dr Al has led our medical team with energy, dedication, good humour, knowledge, and skill.  He always sought to improve, be better, learn more, and bring everyone with him on that journey. Al, you will never be forgotten, and we will continue this journey that we started together. We will miss your smiles, particularly the ones that you had as you waited for a member of Team Dewar to cross the finish lines!  The entire team send our love to you Sara, Daniel & Luke xxx
