Alistair's arrival in Currie High School in S5

Created by Susan 2 years ago
I had the pleasure of teaching Alistair in my Higher English class at Currie High School some 20 years ago. He had recently moved to the area and quickly established himself as an outstanding pupil in my subject, approaching every task with enthusiasm and diligence, and showing a rare combination of analytical skill and creativity. He demonstrated an admirable steadiness and equanimity for someone so young in a new school. I still remember his wonderful essays and hope his neat handwriting remained as he trained as a doctor!
He made an important contribution to the wider school community in S6 when he completed 200 hours of voluntary activities for the national “Millennium Volunteers” initiative.
I remember him with affection and send my deepest condolences to his family.
